KUDOS TO ALL FRIENDS OF HUMANITY FIGHTING THE GOOD FIGHT!
Kudos to Anthony Wunsh and friends for tackling such a hot topic on “Government Math.” See allll the comments on his LinkedIn post, and add yours!
“….Mr. Wunsh has the unique experience of having talked to and visited thousands of facilities of all sizes and specialties. He uses this unique street level experience to customize solutions for healthcare providers….”
Energy follows thought and thoughts are things!
THINK THINK THINK
I admire the left brain thought processes and ‘street sense’ of Anthony Wunsh, President/CEO Medical Pay Solutions, Consultant, Author, Speaker.
Kudos to Paul Steiger and his team at Pro Publica for their collective and on-going reporting on The Demolition of Workers Compensation.
Kudos to the Congressional representatives who have publicly expressed concern about Workers Compensation matters. Let’s encourage them to address the bigger picture, too!
Kudos to David DePaolo and his pals for their reporting and blogging and keeping discussions going about national workers compensation issues.
David’s kudos include CompLaude Awards – an annual educational gala identifying those who nationally do their best to do the right thing in the field of WorkComp. (Last year, I was blessed to be one of the four finalists in the Injured Worker Category, and this year I nominated a few of the good peeps in most all categories that I encountered along that way.)
Kudos to Phil Young – Vocational Expert and Forensic Rehabilitation Specialist for his compassion and his recent articles on Return to Work. Apparently, vocational rehab specialists can be beneficial is divorce proceedings, too. More dots being connected, indeed!
“Your Radiation This Week” GOOGLE IT!
Kudos to Bob Nichols of Veterans Today for his stellar ongoing nuclear investigative reporting on
…and much much more (excerpts and links also below, as radiation poisoning is certainly ‘on topic’ with health care matters.)
Yes, WE WERE WARNED.
Did you read the 2012 Nichols article:
Kudos to The Many who do the often thankless work of being the media we wish to see! You know who you are!
Thanks to all generations for maximizing the efficiencies of the internet to let the Truth be Known to those with Eyes to See and Ears to Hear.
[“Firewalking is the act of walking barefoot over a bed of hot embers or stones. Firewalking has been practiced by many people and cultures in all parts of the world, with the earliest known reference dating back to Iron Age India – c. 1200 BCE. It is often used as a rite of passage, as a test of an individual’s strength and courage…”]
Imagine what The White Rose Society might have accomplished if only they had the internet. Read The First Leaflet when you get a moment over the coming holidays. [“The White Rose was a non-violent, intellectual resistance group in Nazi Germany, consisting of students from the University of Munich and their philosophy professor. The group became known for an anonymous leaflet and graffiti campaign..”]
Count your blessings, ‘praise the Lord and pass the [virtual] ammunition!’
GOD BLESS AMERICA, AND CROWN HER GOOD WITH BROTHERHOOD…
“Can you say why America is the greatest country in the world?”

Thank you, I read comments on my posts, and often turn them into new posts, rather than directly responding. It’s a #TBI thing.
Prior to the WorkComp Brain Injury of 1/9/12, I would have easily followed the complicated thoughts and math in the article.
Read it all for yourself, and take appropriate actions in your own sphere of influence. My un-filtered suggestions are below, for what it’s worth!
My first reaction and comment was:
In a quick google search on ‘how the shell game works’ look what I just found! “…They’ve taken the pea, rising healthcare costs and rising premium costs, off the table. It’s a con.” See for yourself!
How The Shell Game Con Works (also known as “Three Card Monte”)
This morning I woke up with the same article, and some other articles, on my mind.
Here’s what I thought (and posted) (and added to) after further reflection.
WHAT DO YOU THINK? Leave your comments directly on Anthony’s post, pretty please and thank you…. it’s too mind boggling for my further attention at the moment.
WorkCompLinda‘s elaborated comments from initial post on the Anthony Wunsh article:
Good Morning! It’s heart warming to see such significant discussion about the #MagicMath involved in ‘health care’ matters in America! Thank you, Anthony, and thanks to your friends also involved in discussions!
I have been pondering on this since it was posted, and this morning I thought, “Wouldn’t it be great if Paul Steiger’s group at @ProPublica would do a series on THESE matters? If only Anthony Wunsh and the other well versed business people who have commented here [and there,] would connect with Paul either right here on LinkedIn or privately, and also with one of their top reporters, @MichaelGrabell, perhaps demolition and reconstruction could happen sooner rather than later. @HowardBerkes at @NPR is also a huge part of the ongoing InjuredWorker/WorkComp insurance investigative journalism series……”
That’s what I thought, upon awakening today!
What ProPublica did for the People of America, in their stellar expose called THE DEMOLITION OF WORKERS’ COMPENSATION, is still sending shockwaves throughout the work comp insurance industries and related agencies and offices of providers.
The Injured Worker community doesn’t see much promise in the ‘studies, reports and chit chat’ while ‘dying in the streets’ awaiting medical care and benefits, YET. It’s a series. Here’s the link: https://www.propublica.org/article/the-demolition-of-workers-compensation
In addition to inciting serious dialogue about Worker’s Compensation issues in the nation, ProPublica and NPR apparently successfully incited some Congressional Interest, evidenced by the October 20, 2015 letter signed by 10 current members of Congress to the Secretary of the Department of Labor.
My favorite part of the letter is the last paragraph…. the part about:
“….In particular, we would welcome a report from the Department on how it will reinstitute oversight of state workers’ compensation programs, what areas it intends to address, and whether added authorities are needed to better ensure the that the interests of injured workers and taxpayers are protected.”
YEAH! Send in the National Guard, for starters!!!
“The whole damn system is wrong!”
Here’s the link to the Congressional letter, and let’s hope it is the beginning of a Congressional Task Force https://assets.documentcloud.org/documents/2465674/letter-from-federal-lawmakers-to-labor-on.pdf
