Step 1 — 10 points – I showed up live at 11 to the Passive Income Lounge; calendar marked to be there tomorrow, too.

Step 2 – 10 points – My eCourse topic is WorkComp Survival and Virtual Combat Skills

The Select Your Topic action was clarifying and confirming/personally validating.

The “Validate My Idea” exercise was real powerful, and had me smiling.

On UDEMY WorkComp had matches, but I did discover two courses

1) Introduction to Workers Compensation Surveillance by a private investigator [ a horrible and harsh reality of the practices of WorkComp in America, Canada, UK and Australia….]

2)VA Fully Developed Disability Claims – ‘incapacitation’ is the military equivalent of WorkComp… and it looks like a soldier developed that 6 section curriculum, with a very left-brain military organizational structure. I may have to study that! 😀

2) Amazon had 2,654 books on WorkComp; it had 6,330 books for Injured Workers (mostly written by attorneys, but a few that touched on Survival, written by other Injured Workers — most were written a few years ago, and some were had introductions by attorneys… none of those were sugar-coated. Most of the books seemed to be ‘industry propaganda’ but I even found one by a former WorkComp commissioner … spilling the beans on the atrocities…and offering some solutions.

That was a totally cool exercise. I also found my log in to your eCourse that I purchased how long ago?

I even posted a couple related thoughts on LinkedIn (they know me in the WorkComp community there; I am one of just a couple of Injured Worker BLOGGERS in the USA… I also want to do an eCourse on BEGINNING TO BLOG….so that Human Rights and Civil Rights activists can better harness the power of social media.

“WE ARE THE MEDIA NOW” is a little slogan/meme I have used for years… it fits. 😀

And below are images of how far I got so far in creating a course… I would welcome feedback on which is more inviting, considering that most Injured Workers in America are being seriously abused by a system that intends only harm, and many feel (and are!) quite dis-empowered.. and hope is a long forgotten emotion for too many.

DAY 2 – “What Makes you YOU?

1) I am a Writer, Warrior, TBI WorkComp Survivor,
2) I am a Blogger– WorkComp and Nuclear Warnings
3) At times, sometimes surprising to me, I can swear in some of the most un-lady like manners….at some of the most influential people, if they happen to annoy.

Step 2 – 10 points – 3 Random nuggets about me… ‘owning who I am, flaunting it and sharing it…’

1. WorkComp is one of the ‘dirty little secrets’ that puts all of us risk. The#YouEconomy may changes that very soon! I slipped on ice at work and conked my head in 2012… and learned the meaning of “TBI – Traumatic Brain Injury.” I am a TBI Survivor and Warrior!
Neurologists all said, ‘EMBRACE THE NEW YOU” and this ‘new me’ was not as fast, smart and perky as the ol’ me. I said to one doctor, “Well, I don’t know who this new chick is, but if I am supposed to embrace her, I think they better plan to rehabilitate me — and train me to become a neuro-scientist!” He was not sure if I was kidding or not, so he invited me to an annual Brain Injury Conference that weekend, but warned me that it was primarily for military and medical professionals. THAT was the beginning of my real grasp of#Concussion.
[If you haven’t seen the movie, Concussion, get the dvd, and watch the back story and the documentary included, also. Dr. Omalu is quite the American Warrior — fought with the NFL — and survived, and changes are a ‘comin…PS If you have a friend or loved one with a #Concussion, try not to say mean stuff like, ‘you like fine, get over it!’ .]

2. I learned to remind attorneys and workers’ comp ‘doctors’ that I’m injured not stupid when I encountered some of their …. shenaningans and improprieties.
Without benefit of competent legal counsel, in less than 5 years, the ‘parties reached resolution, subject to confidentiality agreement.” and it is upon that ROCK I hope to empower other injured workers in America, Canada, UK and Australia, and beyond, how to fight a ‘rigged’ system and get out with your life. Some of my Injured and disabled friends have been fighting for their lives for more than 5, 10, 15, 20 and some even 30 years. It’s a horrible system of abuse and torture, and if one is not permanently and totally disabled going in, the risk is quite high for being so before ever escaping. One book, co-authored by an Injured Worker and an attorney, (discovered in yesterday’s PassiveIncomePrepSchool assignment had a more polite way to describe the improprieties that most all Injured Workers face. It said something like, “Trust your Mother, but cut the deck anyway.” Something relative to playing cards and protecting one’s self against cheaters.

” I BLOG, THEREFORE I AM A WORKCOMP SURVIVOR. BE ONE, TOO.” is one of my memes.
Another is, “Without a blog and a growing database, Injured Workers are Unarmed and Unprotected in the Global War on Workers.”
[LinkedIn influencers have found my …. transparency… simultaneously refreshing, alarming and intimidating…Some have revised their guidebooks based on my input..]

3. THANKS FOR PERMISSION TODAY TO BE TOTALLY AUTHENTIC, AND EVEN SWEAR LIKE A SALTY SAILOR!!!
Speech therapists and clinical psychs say “quit swearing” and that’s as helpful as saying “quit forgetting and stop being so damn confused and disorganized…” Expletives are not uncommon, for years, post brain injury. It is sometimes the least important of the impairments to address….. the brain does regulate Everything. POST-TBI …. my levels of decorum hardly exists! F**k!

DAY 3 – MISS THIS AND MAKE NO MONEY

– Better late than not at all! 😀

Many of the books on Workers Compensation and or Injured Workers either had NO REVIEWS or happy-happy ones that appeared to be ‘solicited reviews’..

I will have to dig a little deeper… a theme for why people LOVED the books could be summed up with “SAVED MY LIFE.”

‘Crappy Reviews’ were more of a ‘surrender’ to the ‘snake pit’ of the ‘corruption….’

State-specific books confused some people, and others were annoyed that they purchased books not knowing they were State specific.

The exercise helps me see that my ‘niche’ is on target… I see no value in playing the ‘rigged legal game’ and my ebook and eCourse are aimed at helping injured workers (and their attorneys, if they have them) do whatever is necessary to ‘encourage’ all stakeholders coming together with impartial mediators and structured settlement teams.

DOJ can address the criminal activities and malfeasance… helping to FREE THE HOSTAGES seems to be a ‘higher calling.”

PS With all the talk in the lounge about buying courses, I just had to buy your CANAVA course today 😀 , and as I looked at the One on One Coaching I was very excited and then experienced some serious ‘sticker shock’ that moved into, “I can’t afford THAT. Kudos for Colleen! She’s worth that and much more! Hmmmmmmmmm….. I wonder if she ever does ‘small group’ coaching that could lead to more intense 1 on 1 coaching…” Then I saw the money course, and thought, hmmmmmmmmmmmmm….. and got my smile back. We’ll start with Canava and the Course Creation I already have… and we’ll see where this 7-day course leads… The clarity by Day 3 is pretty phenomenal, based on the course, lectures and group input! Wooo hooo!

OPEN LETTER TO WorkCompsters about “THE BLAME GAME”

Gentlemen,

Thank you for taking the time to send your thoughts, posts and/or blogs about my efforts, disappointing as your input is.
.

SOMETHING IS TERRIBLY WRONG WITH THE WORKERS’ COMPENSATION SYSTEM, ISN’T IT?

“…why not study the system, study the law, the regulations, and PROPOSE solutions that a politician or regulator can endorse and work with?”
.
 Why not rely on the Constitution of the United States of America to protect Injured Workers being violently abused, maimed, tortured and killed by the crisis of WorkComp hyper-corruption??
 
The answer to that is quite simple.  THERE ARE TOO MANY UNCLEAN HANDS ON THAT BATTLE FIELD, and they don’t follow the rules of war.
We’ll leave the legal battles to those equipped to fight those fights for indictments for crimes against humanity, and complicity of same.
 .
I’m deeply disappointed by your attacks because I know you know the truth.  I doubt that you would send such a communication if I was not a woman, an older, disabled woman at that! I remember men talking to women like that in the 70’s.  We had a revolution, remember?
 .
To attack and demean me is what it is.   I tell injured workers all the time that NOBODY WILL RISK THEIR INCOME FOR OUR LIVES, and that the sooner they get that, the greater chance they have for survival.
 
 .
I have painstakingly attempted to ‘rebrand’ and to put action ideas around every item I have identified — to know avail.  
 .
  • I submitted 22 ideas for the fake National Work Comp Discussions,
  • I laboriously promoted the Sedgwick Institute – LinkedIn group all over social media,
  • I invited my ‘a-list’ contacts directly, I communicated politely and directly with the Sedgwick people.  
  • I was probably one of the most active ‘fans’ for CompLaude  2014 and 2015 and
  • I racked my brain to come up with numerous nominees.  
  • I diligently and respectfully promoted nominations be made for the industry “Best Blogs of 2016” contest via blogs, posts, and other social media, and emails.  
  • I created a page for Injured Workers and Industry Workers Resource Page, freely sharing contact information about a wealth of resources, inviting others to add to it, and have repeatedly and continuously encouraged Injured Workers to blog to save their own lives.  
  • I compiled a page of some of the more Injured Worker Vlogs — videos of WorkComp stories to inform and inspire to further action.  
  • I have created social media groups and pages, and I have posted in multiple groups and pages on behalf of Injured Workers. 
  • I BLOG, THEREFORE I AM A WORKCOMP SURVIVOR.

I have suggested outcome studies of same body part injuries to Injured Workers and Personal Injury patients….suggesting it will absolutely expose the wrong doings and disabilities caused by WorkComp. The costs are then shifted to Social Security and Medicare after lengthy fights, relieving your industry of any risks or responsibilities whatsoever, passing everything through to taxpayers and the injured workers, with profits fronted by the duped employers who purchase policies for protection that are hardly worth the paper they are written on, when it comes to fiduciary responsibilities.
 .
The injured worker questionnaire I have circulated has brought in some chilling horror stories.   Here, take a look again.

Watch for it.  You’ll be reading about them soon enough.  The majority of Injured Workers are so terrified of the mobster-type activities that permeate your industry, they have shared on an anonymous basis.  I have found an editor who will help me ensure they are protected in the anonymous tellings.  In such a manner, these “complaints” or “problem identifications” can then be discussed in the national community. Perhaps mediations will result for these specific cases, leading the way for others.  The offending carriers and employers will likely be identified in the telling, but not attached to the specific stories, in order to provide a degree of protection.   I hope the Department of Justice will find the efforts worth reading, since the industry considers such stories ‘drivel.’

When I am chided for being non-supportive of a program that ‘gives food to poor injured workers’ –WORKERS destroyed by workers compensation corruption, I must wonder about the money behind bringing such a program to the USA and wonder further at the audacity to accept the need for such handouts in America when there are laws in place to protect injured workers, scoffed at by your industry and the politicians it leases/owns.
When a set of industry blog contest-judges cannot find one word to say about any of the nominated Injured Worker blogs by Americans — something sounds pretty suspicious, doesn’t it, and quite unpatriotic. That they were shunned because they criticize the industry realllly sounds suspicious, doesn’t it?   It took a troll attack on an Injured Worker to get that ‘committee chair’ to even comment on Injured Worker nominations, albeit insultingly so?

We still have a Bill of Rights, don’t we?
 .
I think it’s far more patriotic to deal the CAUSE, knowing EFFECTS will take care of themselves.  
 .
RESOLVE THE PROBLEM and INDICT THOSE COMMITTING THE CRIMES CAUSING INJURED WORKERS TO BECOME JOBLESS, HOMELESS, AND FOODLESS, IN BAD HEALTH.   To refuse to deal with the core issues is, in my humble opinion, getting to the heart of the issues of your industry.  The DA’s can’t bust the crime rings with the millions of dollars allocated?  Fine.  Send in the National Guard to take over their duties.  When, for example, Evaluating Doctor crowds have direct lines to the offices of the District Attorneys to provide to complaining injured workers, WE MAY HAVE A PROBLEM, HOUSTON!

The nuclear industry has a similar style of propaganda and disinformation, deployed by their disinformationists.  It’s fascinating and very easy to discern.

So when you suggest my efforts are useless and that  “You may as well just dig a hole and hide because no one is going to pay attention.” I can respectfully remind you of the ol’ civil rights saying, ‘NO LIE CAN LIVE FOREVER!’  How long?  YOU SHALL REAP WHAT YOU SOW! [31 second reminder]

Every doctor, lawyer, judge and provider knows full well that EVERY WORK COMP STORY IS THE SAME —-  Just different names, body parts and case numbers.

Outcomes are usually dismally the same.  Denied medical care, compounded injuries, denied benefits, lost health, lost jobs, lost homes, lost lives.  
 .
Nobody goes to jail for fraud, corruption, attempted murder, obstructions of justice or collusion.  
The Angels of Death doctors owned/leased by the industry are well paid, and decent doctors are cheated of agreed on fees.

How many lives have been destroyed by Workers Compensation to date?

How many more lives will be destroyed before your industry is stopped and held accountable for so many crimes??  
 
 
I PROPOSE TO FIND THE WAYS AND MEANS TO HELP FREE THE PRISONERS OF THE WAR ON WORKERS IN AMERICA, FOR STARTERS.
   
Mediators and Structured Settlement teams, for Injured Workers, armed and trained in blogging and social media maximum impact and investigative reporting is a first step for Virtual Combat and Survival.  
 
I have written at length on many possible strategic solutions.  Encouraging Committees of Bloggers and breaking the silence on the dirty OPEN SECRETS OF WORK COMP has always been one of my aims.  I am happy to report many calls and emails of thanks from injured workers who find hope and strength in my writings.
 
As long as your industry feels above the law and protected, it’s an uphill battle.   
 
ProPublica and NPR shined some light on the issues, but only the tip of the iceberg. It is obvious that the industry is attempting damage control from the fallout of the Insult to Injury Demolition of Workers Compensation investigative reports and the Congressional response, which, you may recall, offered to send in law enforcement help, if needed.  When I say, “Yes, please, SEND IN THE NATIONAL GUARD” it is not said without foundation.
 
For you and your peers to take pot shots at the very few Injured Workers willing to stand up and say, “Yo! Guys! WTF do you think you are doing and WTF do you think you are maiming and killing people in the USA for profits could be easily classified as truly reprehensible?!! NOT IN THIS COUNTRY, M*F*s!!”  
 
If believing in the Constitution of the United States of America makes me a ‘militant’ in your opinion, well, all I can suggest is that you might take a look at Constitutional law one of these days.

The position of your industry of for-profit aggressive maiming, torture and killing of unarmed and disabled populations, young and old, primarily female,  in a systematic program of extermination seems to be the more extreme stand.  Just saying.  It takes most injured workers approximately 2 years to grasp the harsh realities; some never get it and cling to the results of Stockholm Syndrome and their necessary opiates, due to failed surgeries and denied corrective surgeries…FOR YEARS.
 
 
I am working on creating an eCourse:  WorkComp Survival and Virtual Combat Skills to help injured workers and people of goodwill in the workcomp industry to fight the good fight to save lives, free the prisoners.
 
Many hope and pray for indictments of the most heinous of the serial killers in your industry, without wasting a minute on fighting windmills. That is unlikely to happen in my lifetime or yours, but working together, lives could be saved….. just like some people were spared the horrors of Auschwitz and other death chambers.  It will take longer without your help, but be assured, that the War Your Industry has declared and continues to wage on Injured Workers will not go unfought.

Your industry has made it’s position clear.  Injured Workers suspected that May would bring a huge propaganda blitz, more than a year in the makings, to attempt damage control and profit saving due to the truths exposed in Insult to Injury:  THE DEMOLITION OF WORKERS COMPENSATION.

Do you consider the award winning work of Grabell, Berkes et al as “mere complaining” or as some like to say, “drivel” when the industry issues are elevated?  Not comparing my exposes to the power behind ProPublica and NPR….  I just have my little disability checks to fund my efforts with, not huge corporate benefactors. like y’all do.

I even suggested to the Sedgwick fellas about a National Telesummit series, to get issues on the virtual table for discussion by not only professionals, but by those across the nation, most egregiously harmed by the patterns and practices of Workers Compensation.  
 
Alrighty.  Your position is clear.  I hope mine is, too.  
 
As always, many thanks for all your kindness over the years.  I wish you could find a way to multiply those efforts and help more injured workers escape and survive the horrors of Workers Extermination Programs.

While the final suggestion was that I re-read “How to Win Friends and Influence People”…. in a spirit of reciprocity, I would suggest that you start a study group of the book, THE ART OF WAR by Sun Tzu, to address the CRISES OF HYPER-CORRUPTION DESTROYING THE AMERICAN WORKING CLASS.   As you all know and boast about, what goes on in WorkComp is NOT A SECRET.   Ask any doctor or super lawyer, huh?  Or any injured worker.

Rebranding, since the blog seems to have been instrumental in facilitating ‘the parties reaching resolution, subject to confidentiality agreement,’ and the process includes a new blog called MyWorkCompCoach.com.

This new blog will include some untold Injured Worker stories, including Veterans kicked to the curb not only by the VA, but by subsequent work injuries.  We have already received a few, and most want to share ‘Anonymously’ for fear of retribution from employers, insurers or bogey-peeps.

When you think about WorkComp and the plight of Injured Workers, be sure to know about Botched Surgeries and Failures to Provide Corrective Surgeries that contribute to the “disability making machinery” and opiate traffic. The stories are heinous.  If you have a job, hope you NEVER GET HURT on the job!  If the injury doesn’t kill you, WorkComp ‘care’ may finish the job!

We collectively hope to incite real discussion in the alleged ‘national discussions’ (albeit secret discussions) in the works now.  We trust that the efforts of carriers like “Sedgwick Institute” will embrace Injured Workers, listen to the horror stories, so that we can all, collectively, work toward life extending resolutions that include ‘immediate, reasonable and appropriate medical care’ and return to work efforts, when possible.

Let’s dismantle the “disability making machine’ and create a legitimate Workers Rights movement to combat what WorkComp has become.  As the Department of Labor Secretary Perez indicates, their hands are somewhat tied.

The Congressional letter of October 2015 indicated some willingness on the part of a few members of Congress (and even a few more representing nuclear workers!) to provide law enforcement assistance, if necessary. It appears to be necessary, in most states.  So, ‘SEND IN THE NATIONAL GUARD, AND ENSURE THEY ATTEND THE ‘SECRET’ NATIONAL DISCUSSIONS in the works for May, somewhere in the ‘heartland.’

The matters of unbridled profits for the insurance industries on the backs of injured workers, along with costs shifting to same injured workers, to State and Federal coffers, is also discussed.  It’s hoped that the ‘national discussions’ include the most destructive and dangerous practices first, vs. hand wringing and “CYA” practices to protect PROFITS BEFORE LIVES.

A young banker today asked ‘what’s a gravy train?’ giving way to discussion and points to ponder with his colleagues.

It was suggested that he immediately check with his Human Resources Department for details on the WorkComp policies and practices of his major bank.  He knew well about the needs to begin retirement planning early, but admittedly never thought about a work place injury.   He was encouraged to do more research, and discuss it with his friends and neighbors.  A work place injury can be very career path and life-disrupting to an injured worker, and quite the gravy train for what some call “21st Century Sonderkommando”  — Yes, Ask Siri!

How many people in the industry know cases that are more than 20 years old?  What torture and abuses occur during such a time span??   How many dollars are laundered over the course, over how many unclean hands? Recently an industry article about California talked about Sedgwick again, caught offending again, shrugged, paid a few million and said they would monitor better (paraphrased.) Here’s the link:

FOLLOW THAT MONEY TRAIL! 

Another recent article talked about how Sedgwick takes the best financial care of it’s employees….. WHAT DOES THAT TELL YOU?  Put on your cognitive thinking skills cap! YIKES!

If there was ever a time for class action, Sedgwick even looks like it might be in a position to clean up old cases and make them right.  I will reach out to them directly and see if they will set up a hotline to take calls from long lost and botched cases, and I will contact media as well.  You in or out?

WHAT I WANT TO KNOW IS WHERE IS THE CAAA HOTLINE FOR OTHER SEDGWICK SIMILARLY ABUSED INJURED WORKERS TO RALLY IN CLASS ACTION?  IF I GET ONE MORE CALL FROM ONE MORE INJURED WORKER OF THE SEDGWICK VARIETY CRYING ABOUT 20 OR SO YEARS OF ABUSE, BOTCHED SURGERIES, DENIED MEDICAL CARE, AND DEMANDS FOR WEANING OFF OPIATES WHILE THE CAUSES OF THE NEED FOR PAIN TREATMENT SUCH AS FOREIGN OBJECTS LEFT BEHIND IN BOTCHED SURGERIES,

WE MAY HAVE TO DEVOTE A SPECIAL SERIES TO SEDGWICK although they seem to represent the new normals, don’t they?

WE ALREADY KNOW THE NEED TO #Blog4TheCure – Romano Syndrome incited by the practices of this insurance carrier, which seems to have set the industry standard, huh?

Perhaps Darrell Brown and Kimberly George, both influencers at Sedgwick, will establish a direct HOT LINE for Injured Parties to reach out, whether or not they are represented.  Perhaps they will establish a second HOT LINE for attorneys of old Sedgwick cases to reach out.  Perhaps they will line up a HOT LINE for national, third-party MEDIATORS to get these cases to resolution, allowing the remaining days of injured workers to be without the terrors and pain and abuses that only workcomp can freely incite, without fear or caution, on the working classes.

Most applicant attorneys shamefully would apparently rather see an injured worker die than share case proceeds with someone who can get the job done —medical care and resolution — and imho, such parties should not profit for inability to protect their clients, and certainly should not stand in the way of resolution.  My opinions on that crowd have never been …. sugar-coated.   20 years, c’mon!

Then, if PRO-ACTIVE HOTLINES happen, maybe investigative reporters can write something nice about work comp one of these days, instead of digging to find a story of someone who did something right once in workcomp.  Corrective actions can then begin to embrace Social Security Disabilities and improprieties, that little cost shifting maneuver with many sticky little fingers all over it?  All these things may, in the end, require hands-on Congressional interventions.  What about Return to Work?  What a concept, post-medical treatment?

There is lots of room for improvement and it doesn’t include ‘rising medical costs’ and from an accounting perspective, MEDICAL EVALUATIONS UPON EVALUATIONS UPON EVALUATIONS do not constitute medical care.  Separate actual care from collusion to deny medical care, and the industry may find medical care costs are insanely low, to practically non-existent.  Ask any injured worker, represented or not.

LET THE NATIONAL CONVERSATIONS BEGIN.  ProPublica started the conversations with the series, Insult to Injury – The Demolition of Workers Compensation.  Let’s keep the conversations going and ignite some new ones!  YOUR LIFE COULD BE AT STAKE, TOO.   

Obviously, applicant attorneys in every state are befuddled, puzzled, baffled and perplexed on how to protect injured parties.  Perhaps Congress can be encouraged to encourage immediate establishment of a HOT LINE FOR AMERICA’S INJURED WORKERS SEEKING RESOLUTIONS, MEDICAL CARE, AND BASIC CIVIL AND HUMAN RIGHTS.   WE CAN HOPE.   LET’S OPEN UP SOME HOT LINES, AND CONTINUE TO #Blog4TheWorkCompCure!

Young, middle aged and old people are also urged by MyWorkCompCoach.com to check with their Human Resources Dept today to get the names of their WorkComp and Disability insurance carriers. Anytime you consider a new j-o-b, be sure to ask about the Workers Compensation carrier, practices and how many injured workers, statistically, ever return to work with their original employer, and at all?  You might also inquire about the average duration of the company’s ‘typical’ work comp case, and if HR and management has any particular training in handling 911-emergency calls and workplace injuries.  Particularly ask if they are forbidden from calling 911 or extending get well wishes! That may be telling!

Linda: In 2011, 2012 I was blocked regularly due to nuclear activism. Lucy Occupy could not provide “papers” to the FB thought police so we have to share walls! Lucy doesn’t like to share stuff.

It’s hard to say since the ‘same crowds’ run things from the top down… Each time, I learned skills…. that’s when I learned to blog, recently, to make videos, and I am studying like a maniac, even with the “Brain Limp,” to learn more compensatory strategies in Social Media. FB calls it ‘restricted from posting in groups’ now, rather than full-blown lock-down. It’s more polite, apparently.

If I had to guess, I would say that the ‘committees’ watching my nuclear and my workcomp activism and survival tips got some special instructions. Sometimes such attacks can be quite personal and really ugly… this crowd seems to be ‘just following orders’.
